Accommodation Overview
Stonehaven is an exclusive Himalayan residence located in the furthest western cove of Phew Tal Lake and perched on a private hilltop just 5 minutes stroll from the waters-edge and accessed from a crafted stone stairway to the gateway.
Set within a rural landscape on a small plateau perched high above the lake & offering exceptional undisturbed 180 degree views the length of the Annapurna Himal.
Stonehaven offers a 2-storey purpose-built residence comprising:
4 bedrooms –
including 1st floor master bedroom with balcony
Dining Room
Terraced Gardens & outdoor living areas
Entrance & Lobby
Kitchen plus pantry
Two garden amphitheatres.
Lounge Area
Indoor & Outdoor bathrooms
The grounds can also accommodate tents.
Stage 2 of Stonehaven – “The Abode” is under planning and can accommodate 5 separate self-contained themed Nepalese cottages each with their own secluded living space in the garden nooks across the expansive terraced gardens.
Stonehaven is not a hotel, rather an exclusive Himalayan residence that can accommodate 1 or up to 8 people across its 4 bedrooms. It offers self-catered accommodation with full kitchen facilities or an option of fully catered accommodation with on-site (self-accommodated) staff able to support your stay



The building is designed to make the most of the Himalayan views from every room to capture the maximum beauty of the Himalayas, surrounding valley, the full extent of the lake, lush gardens and wildlife. The lounge and one bedroom offer doorways to the gardens, terraced gardens below and the undisturbed natural panorama.

With a large marble paved entrance/lobby this transforms to a circular dining area within the central core of the building as all other rooms radiate out. It’s designed to be social space as a central meeting point for meals and chats.
Two north facing bedrooms open to the dining area together with the stairway to the top room, kitchen, bathrooms plus the lower ground offering an additional bedroom, spacious lounge, both with garden doorways.
The top floor is a large circular master bedroom or meditation room with 360 views and a roof top balcony looking to the Himalayas and lake.
Hand-cut stone decorates all the walls inside and out and is mixed ‘rato-matto’ red-mud upper walls giving a traditional Nepali homestead feel.
The Retreat is designed to be a get-a-way that allows individuals, families and small groups a relaxed natural environment and a choice of activities that offers sustenance to the Body-Mind- Soul with as much or …… as little, as you may wish to do.

Set on more than an acre of land amongst terraced gardens, pathways and lawns there is plenty of room to find your space and a diversity of surroundings amidst 1000’s of hectares of jungle, rivers, rock pools, quaint Nepali villages, lake, farm-life and more.
