Location Stonehaven – The Retreat
and getting there…..
- Kathmandu is 220 km to the south-east and from Kathmandu to Pokhara / Lakeside it is:
- Domestic Flight takes 25-30 minutes to Pokhara International Airport
- By Private (hired) Car – it is approx. 3-4 hours
- By Tourist Coach – it is approx. 7 hours
- By Boat from Lakeside – 25-30 minutes.
The Retreat is not on the main roads of Pokhara or Lakeside. The best way to access the property is via a leisurely 30-minute paddle from Lakeside to the western end of Phew Tal Lake and situated overlooking a secluded cove.
We arrange to meet guests in our own boat from Lakeside and transport you to the end of the lake where we disembark and take the 5-minute walk up to our private plateau & gardens with its 180-degree views of the Himalayas and the panorama across the lake and adjoining mountains.

Airport
Arrangements can be made to collect you from the Pokhara International Airport, on your arrival if required.
Lakeside
Lakeside is the main tourism hub of Pokhara, and you will be collected by our boatman at Lakeside and transport to Stonehaven in our resort boat.
Boat
Stonehaven – The Retreat has its own boat which you can book for use during your stay – great for day trips and exploring the lake environment or heading into Lakeside for a meal, supplies and activities.
